Come watch people have sex! Wait…what?
This Saturday in Silver Lake, you can do just that—sort of. The 4th annual Air Sex Championships will be held at The Satellite at 9:00. Taking a cue from the success of the Air Guitar Championships, Air Sex is exactly what it sounds like: someone on stage making love to at least one imaginary partner to the song of their choice.
While a show like this would probably make most mothers and grandmothers cringe, it promises to be funny and entertaining for those who can handle it. “Foreplay,” a stand-up comedy showcase, will start the evening and prepare the audience for the Air Sex competition.
Be ready for anything: a sincere bedroom showcase to a Barry White style song, a goofy performance to a song like the Bloodhound Gang’s “Bad Touch,” anything you can imagine you will probably see Saturday night. Contestants must remain clothed (we think) so you won’t have to witness any unwanted “air-rections.” Winners will be given prizes as well as obvious bragging rights.
