You can feel the emotions exuding out of each Bipolar Sunshine track. With hypnotic beats and subtle melodies, leading man Adio Marchant has been able to levitate moods through his semi-electronic pop music. GroundSounds recently had the pleasure to catch up with the British recording artist, check out our exclusive interview below.

You recently released the track “Love More Worry Less”, it’s a very uplifting anthem, can you tell us a little bit about he inspiration behind the song?

I wanted to capture something that was how I was feeling at the time.

Your new EP Drowning Butterflies, will be dropping soon, can you tell us about the creative process behind the project? What should fans expect/anticipate?

The process was I had to look at the batch of songs that best describe where I am at musically. I felt like those songs were right for now. Fans should expect to hear a development from me and different vibe from myself as its a new EP which has different sound from the first.

Is there a story behind the name Bipolar Sunshine? How did you decide to use this moniker?

I wanted something to write towards. Those two words left me with so much scope to write and I liked the angle it made me write in, something they conjured an emotion good or bad from myself.

The start of your first headlining tour The Drowning Butterflies Tour is approaching fast (Oct. 26th), what do you enjoy most about touring?  Do you have any plans of coming to the states? Come to LA!

Yeah would love to come play in LA that would be mega, yeah touring is fun love how tight you get musically also you have a great laugh with the people you play with …when you start to see people get into what you do that is always the best feeling. .

What are you currently listening to?

Drake and Kanye new albums.

What inspires you?

Trying to find the best ways of not feeling crap.

What were you feeling when you signed to Black Butter and BMG Publishing, can you tell us about that specific moment in time?

I was proper made up to be signed to such a great team, both of them working together hopefully is the start of something special.

Can you tell us a little bit about your writing process? Do you have a typical process or formula when writing/creating new music?

No formula just let it happen naturally. I usually get my ideas when im washing up when I am fully relaxed, I want people to feel the same way I felt when I wrote it. People sharing the same emotions will always find each other.

Has there been a specific individual who has impacted or influenced your life greatly? If so who?

My mum she is always been behind what I do and has got me into the carpenters from a young age.

Who would you like to collaborate with in the future?

Drake, King Krule, A$AP Rocky, Kendrick, Alex Turner and Morrisey. I have about 20 others so many to mention.

After the tour what’s next? Are you working on an album?

I might go on holiday for two days then work on the album most of the songs are done now so hopefully it will be out next year.
