LA alt-rock trio Bravesoul released their new EP The Infinite Hourglass last month and it displays a range of anthemic rock and impressive musicianship. Bravesoul exists in the same sonic atmosphere as Kings of Leon, 30 Seconds To Mars, and Imagine Dragons. The band definitely carves their own path and has a distinct vibe; I only make those comparisons to give you a good idea of their sound.

The EP begins with “Timebomb,” a radio-friendly jam reminiscent of a Muse or 30STM hit. The song encapsulates the band well and begs for repeated listens. “If The Morning Ever Comes” is a surefire hit and an arena-ready rock song. It would not surprise me whatsoever to hear this all over the radio in the coming months.

The Infinite Hourglass then transitions into “Animals” and “Annie,” two of the softer tracks musically. “Animals” is a beautiful track showcasing the surprising range of the band and “Annie” harkens the pop sensibilities of a band like Imagine Dragons. We will bring you the upcoming video for “Annie” as soon as it premieres.

“By Ourselves” closes the EP, providing a fitting end by building to a nice crescendo and giving you the sense that this is a band ready for anything thrown at it. What promises to be a big year for the trio will kick off in earnest next week with several SXSW showcases.

In case this little gem slipped past your radar last month, be sure to give the band a listen
