Featuring smooth harmonies and crisp power-pop chords, Iowa based band Dylan Sires and Neighbors have been on the move, releasing a flood of material.  Their latest video for “Good Ol’ Boy” is off of their most recent full-length Someone and is premiering exclusively here on GroundSounds.  Dylan Sires had this to say about the video:

With “Good Ol’ Boy,” we wanted to explore strength and resilience – the ability to take a beating before another beating and to be mentally capable of taking it with a smile. The aesthetic for “the video is a kind of a dark throwback to 80’s jangle pop, and pays homage to some of my favorite pop culture lore. Aside from writing songs, I’m an aspiring filmmaker, so making this music video was a fun challenge, and a bit of a departure for the band and I because it involved our first narrative. We had 3 make-up artists and a hair stylist for the video, which I co-directed with Jonny Dexter. We borrowed an old Buick from my dad and shot the video all over Waterloo and Cedar Falls, Iowa. And by the way, that Buick is not an easy car to drive! It has no power steering fluid, so whenever we were on a busy road and had to come to a stop before making a turn, I needed the passenger to help me turn the wheel.”

Dylan Sires and Neighbors third album ‘Everyone‘ is set for release this coming Spring.
