Long Island based rockers The Maisons, are making moves as they gear up for the release of their new EP Hear No Speak No. Featured on the project and premiering exclusively on GroundSounds is the fresh new track “Vertigo.”

The guys had this to say about their latest single:

“Vertigo was inspired by my previous lead guitarist’s neighbor. He told me about the story between them, and after I heard it there was so much I thought about. He started playing some chords at our session one day and I just blurted out, “I watched you go, it’s for the best, I hope.” After that, everything just came together. I’m sure we have all seen or can remember a time in our lives when someone we loved walked away. Maybe they came back, and maybe they never did. There is always a very strong memory for me of this sort of situation, and I know everyone’s been in that scenario before. If you haven’t… well, then you must be doing something right. The chorus plays a huge part in the song: “being by your side, I was high / being by your side I could die / you told me to think about what I’ve done / and I’m sorry for who I’ve become.” Again, I speak for myself, but the feeling of love is euphoric and when you lose that, all you can say is sorry and hope that the other person forgives you.”

Check out “Vertigo” below, The Maisons’ new EP Hear No Speak No drops October 23rd.
