NJ based indie pop-rock band Morningside Lane have hit the studio once again and are eager to unleash their fifth EP Recovery Signs. Featuring five fresh new tracks the EP is pure sonic goodness and it is now premiering exclusively on GroundSounds.

The guys had this to say about their latest EP:

“We’ve talked about this EP for a while after we re-released Mellow Drama in January. We discussed what it would contain, sound like, etc.. While we were on the road out in the UK this past Summer, we were fortunate enough to play these songs and kind of test drive them live: Big success. People loved them. People who have never heard us before could automatically pick out what the new songs were in our set and get excited about them. We were excited about working with Super Sick Records for the first time as well as the fact that this was our first “out of the country” recording we would make. The inspiration for the record came out of many places; one main theme being our identity, who we are, additionally not re-creating the wheel but working the wheel very well. We wanted to follow up what we’ve been saying with our last EPs, but focus the concept as being a new chapter for us. Every EP is different, you can feel the changes in the songs, listeners group those feelings with images, and build relationships with them through the lyrics.  For instance, in “Recovery Signs,” the title track, we talk about accepting who you are as an individual, and once you accept it, you can begin growing into a better person –“We can dance around redemption while, you send me all of your recovery signs.”

Stream Recovery Signs below, it will officially be released tomorrow (10/23) via Super Sick Records.
