With a dynamic emotive sound, Denver based indie-rock quartet Tyto Alba recently dropped some fresh new visuals for their track “Lupine Soul.” The theme, both lyrically and visually, revolves around the disconnected relationship between human and nature, the band had this to say about their latest track and video:

The inspiration for Lupine Soul comes from a feeling of disconnect between myself and the people around me. I use a parallel relationship between man and nature in the music video. We’re these massively complex and intelligent beings that have given up our deep, primal instincts as a result. It’s a lost innocence. Throughout the video, friends are overlayed with footage of jellyfish, trees, or other natural elements as a juxtaposition of these two opposing forces. The bridge sequence features my younger sister running into the ocean as another form of that attempted merging and a return to purity. We’ve lost our relationship with nature and we’re losing our relationships with each other as we sink further into a world dominated by non-personal communication and a lack of empathy. There’s so much beauty around us, both in people and in the natural world, if we could only try to see it. – “I’ve got a lupine soul you don’t know.”
