Chicago based alt-rock trio Tuff Slang is a band that features members from Secrets Colours, Dirty Rotten Sunshine, and A Lull. Cody Messick, Justin Frederick and Aaron Vincel came from their respective bands to create Tuff Slang, a hook driven rock group that walks the line between southern twang, rhythm and soul. The guys are gearing up for the release of their self-titled debut album, GroundSounds has the exclusive premiere below.
The guys had this to say about their debut project:
“It’s a culmination of all our hard work over the past few years, each song catches the personality of what we were going through at the time. From catchy power pop inspired choruses to alt country ballad’s, the intention was to keep it simple while maintaining a pop sensibility without over thinking the overarching goal.”
