New York based folk artist Adrienne Tooley is gearing up for the official release of her ‘This Was True Once’ EP, however GroundSounds is premiering it exclusively today!  The EP was produced by musician Katie Buchanan and is somewhat of an anomaly as it originated with songs written in the present tense that soon grew to live in the past tense. Overall it is pure sonic goodness.

Adrienne had this to say about her latest project:

“‘It’s a record about loss, self awareness, growth and the realization that old sentiments still manage to be relevant even once the context has changed.”

Stream ‘This Was True Once’  below, it will officially drop on April 8th. If you are in the New York area, definitely check out Adrienne’s upcoming EP and release show at Rockwood Music Hall on April 10th at 7PM EST.
