Austin based americana/soul duo The Watters are gearing up for the release of their forthcoming album ‘Great Unknown,‘ featured on the album and premiering exclusively on GroundSounds is the video for their fresh new track “The Great Unknown.”

Here is what Daniel Watters had to say about the title track for the forthcoming album and the music video:

The song “The Great Unknown” was written on a rock by Oak Creek which runs right behind my house. During the 3 months we were in Sedona, AZ, a gigantic Blue Heron would hang out everyday by the creek. The Heron is my spirit animal, so I would go down to the creek and write and hang with the Heron when I could. The song was inspired by the Heron and the ever-flowing creek. Months later when we were looking for a recording studio, we found Cacophony Recordings adjacent to the Colorado River. I knew immediately upon seeing a Heron at the studio when I visited, this would be the place. He also spent the entire first day of our recording session in the tree right next to the studio (as can be seen in the music video!)

The Watters recorded their forthcoming album ‘Great Unknown’ at Cacophony Recorders studio in Austin, Texas in December, it will be released on July 1st, 2016, check out the video for “The Great Unknown” below!
