Dallas based Crushed Stars recently dropped the fresh new LP ‘Displaced Sleepers.’ The album is heavily influenced by the growing sense of isolation that frontman Todd Gautreau feels as both an artist and spectator in the digital age where art is constantly devalued, amidst the uncertainty of modern times. Featured on the album is the fresh new single “Diminished Returns” the accompanying music video is now premiering exclusively on GroundSounds.

Director Bryson Jones had this to say about Crushed Stars music video:

“The video is a series of overlapping 8mm clips of found footage from the 1960s that melds perfectly with the vibe Crushed Stars lays down in Diminished Returns. Ghosted images of people and places stuck in time, gone but not forgotten in a haze of dreamy nostalgia. The images are eerily familiar and remind us that there are certain things we all have in common no matter where or when we live – family, sense of home, memories of our youth, and a longing to share life together. The irony, as the song states, is that the concept of a perfect world is just an illusion. It is the imperfections that make life interesting and worth living.”
