Although its been a few years since her last formal release, NYC-based songwriter Kate Davis has been anything but dormant. In 2017, she’s played out consistently live testing new material at Rockwood Music Hall and releasing a steady stream of impressive covers giving her fans a deeper view into her influences.
Recently, Davis covered Pavement’s classic “Shady Lane” which she rearranged for a solo rendition. GroundSounds is happy to spotlight it here today along with today’s announcement that the artist has just launched a Kickstarter to help fund a new record.
