The video in cinematic and captivating, with the black and white bringing an intensity that matches the serious tone of the compelling song. Go full screen and full volume with this one – very impressive.

In his own words:

Not That Strong was a late night inspiration, after a disheartening evening spent with a good friend.  Many of my songs are reflective, where this was immediately reactive.

Essentially the message is, it’s painful to admit to yourself you don’t have the courage to go down certain paths with someone that matters to you. The video was created around the conceptual elements of the song.  There’s a starkness to the piano and a longing to the cello that gets directly embodied in the dancer’s performance.  It was all shot black in white to push the dramatic aspects of the song even further.
