The Wheel Workers is a Houston band consisting of Steven Higginbotham, Erin Rodgers, Craig Wilkins, Kevin Radomski, and Zeek Garcia. Their previous records were much more sociopolitical in nature, but the new album is about these more personal struggles. They are gearing up to release their new album Post-Truth and are building a big buzz. Today we are thrilled to premiere the new song “Doesn’t Really Matter.” The track is pure indie rock perfection. In fact, we aren’t really sure what to highlight about it…it’s just really damn good! We’re pretty sure you’ll love it too, stream it below and enjoy!

Quote from the band on the track:

“Some of the people that were most supportive and kind during our difficulties following Hurricane Harvey were people I would probably disagree with politically, but the decency and love they showed in helping us rebuild our lives is so much more important than whether we agree on this or that issue. ‘Doesn’t Really Matter’ was initially written for a compilation of local Houston artists to benefit those hardest hit by Harvey’s devastation. The lyrics are about trying to cut through the nearly infinite distractions of modern life to find what really matters. Modern technology is wonderful in many ways, but the endless stimulation and onslaught of advertising can be overbearing and really lead you down an empty path.”
