Patrick Doval is a multifaceted artist with a track record to prove it. Since 2008, he has independently released 5-albums and 22-music videos. This vast body of work highlights Patrick’s endless musical and visual creative inspiration.
Patrick’s work has garnered a lot of attention from the art world. A number of his music videos have been showcased at premier contemporary art stages including Art Basel, and the Wynwood Arts District of Miami’s Curator’s Voice Art Projects. The Miami, FL-based singer/songwriter and producer recently exhibited select pieces from his “Lovers” series alongside Hollywood photographer, Robert Zuckerman during Art Basel 2017.
Today we are excited to premiere the new video for his track “In You” – streaming below! The video features impressive animation and a distinct rhythm that matches Doval’s upbeat track. “In You” is intriguing an addicting – the perfect track to kickstart your Friday!
In his own words:
“I always start off the creative process with a storyboard of ideas that I want to incorporate into the video. “In You” is literally the sequel to my “Lover” music video, so I wanted to continue with the same style and theme. Visions of navigating under the sea with mermaids and traveling on a rocket through space, were central ideas to my video. Clever green screen techniques were used to film the mermaid scene and stop motion animation was used in editing to get the desired result. Ultimately, I draw my biggest inspiration from the films of the great Georges Méliès and the fantasy stories of Jules Verne, which help me paint a picture in my head of what I want to create.”
