Mississauga, Ontario, Canada Rock & Roll band The Dreamboats have been tearing up the Greater Toronto Area with their vintage sound since debuting in 2009. The quartet consisting of Sir Ritchie Hummins (lead vocals, guitar), Fliggers B. Lewis (lead vocals, bass guitar), Matt Best (lead guitar, vocals), and Johnny G. Wiz (drums, vocals) have cultivated a steady fan base throughout Canada. The Dreamboats have toured throughout Europe and the United States to support their EP Vocal Warm-Up. They have headlined Modernism Week in Palm Springs, California and have been recognized by Rockabilly legend Ronnie Hawkins.

Today we’re thrilled to premiere the video for an acoustic version of “Run Away” – streaming below! Make no mistake, the acoustic version is no less of a fun, rollicking rock song. This rendition really showcases each individual element contributing to the kick ass vibe these guys have. The Dreamboats are going to make sure good ol’ Rock N Roll is here to stay.

In their own words:

“Run Away happened when we took a folk song concept and smashed it together with a powerful modern rock anthem and swingin’ 1950’s rock ’n’ roll standard. When the song starts and Matt let’s that feedback build, Johnny kicks in with thunderous toms and Ritchie and I let the vocal harmonies rip, you know this song means business. We actually performed Run Away on stage for the first time at the legendary Cavern Club in Liverpool for the International Pop Overthrow Festival! That was a dream come true!”
