If you asked any Multimagic fan in 2014, all signs pointed to the Cincinnati indie pop act being on the cusp of entering the national conversation. With a promisingly viral first single in “Let Go,” the band was courting offers and readying a full length for release in Summer 2017. And then… they disappeared.

The five-year break between then and now came as a result of an illness that frontman Coran Stetter was misdiagnosed and overprescribed for, triggering a series of health setbacks and a self-proclaimed “manic haze” that nearly tore his band and life apart. Still, Stetter endured, cobbling together a new lineup and working on the new EP “Move On” as a preamble to Multimagic’s long awaited full-length.

Reconnecting with music was an important part of Stetter’s recovery and his bout with mental illness and search for redemption became themes of the new EP “Move On” – out November 15.

Today we are thrilled to premiere the new track “Naked” – streaming below. The track has a vibe & beat that immediately draws you in, similar to the way an Atlas Genius track hooks you from the opening few notes. It’s a synth lover’s dream – slick, impactful, and something you’ll be singing and replaying all day.

In their own words:

“Naked” is about feeling vulnerable in public situations. I have a lot of acquaintances and am a strong networker and love talking with people, but have very few close, trusted friends. When on tour, or out in public around town, it can be difficult to feel like you have to be “friends” with everyone but really aren’t close to many of them.
