Claire Hawkins brings new life to the term troubadour as a singer/songwriter and travel vlogger. Her genre-defying folk-pop sound reflects her New York City upbringing, and her narrative lyrics are the product of being raised by two polyglot parents.

After releasing her debut EP Even These Words in 2017, Hawkins spent a year studying in Europe, where she developed a passion for travel. In celebration of her travel-themed EP Foreign Voice, Hawkins is touring hostels around Europe on the Foreign Voices Travelers Tour. She is documenting her trips with unique video content, including behind-the-scenes tour vlogs and an interview series with artists from around the world.

Today we are excited to premiere her new video for “Dublin” – streaming below! The song comes from a page in a travel journal Hawkins was keeping around the time of her 21st birthday. She had just arrived in Ireland after four months in Berlin, deciding to spend Christmas with her dad’s family in Dublin instead of going home to New York City for the holidays. The video is provides a twilight walking tour of the city and perfectly captures the mood and spirit of the beautiful song. We are pumped to be able to share this one!

In her own words:

I wrote the song about celebrating an anti-climactic 21st birthday in Dublin, so it was extra special that we got to film the video on my 23rd birthday in Dublin – at the same pub I went to exactly two years before!
