Featuring a sultry smooth RnB sound blended with laid back vibes, Manchester based duo Young War (Thom Stone, Simon Facey) have just dropped the fresh new track “Way Down.” Premiering exclusively on GroundSounds the single is from their forthcoming EP ‘Tell Someone Who Cares.‘
Young War had this to say about the track:
Way Down is a song about indulging in someone else’s sadness and feeling more human because of it. It’s inspired by Pavement and En Vouge in equal parts.”
Mixed over 4 days at Eve Studios in Stockport, ‘Tell Someone Who Cares‘ was recorded on tape and has a warm vintage vibe. To celebrate the release of their new EP, the band will play a very special headline show, hosted by Communion at Gullivers, Northern Quarter, in Manchester on June 8th.
