NY indie-pop artist/producer Kyosi recently dropped the fresh new track “Early Riser,” today the accompanying video is premiering exclusively on GroundSounds. The intimate but energizing quality of the track is reflected in the music video, which moves between scenes of bustling city life, and artful shots of Kyosi at her home studio producing the track in real time.
Kyosi had this to say about her latest single:
“Early Riser represents a fresh start for me as an artist. It’s a love letter about getting shit done with balance while surrounded by endless responsibilities. I wanted the video to feel intimate, simple and show people exactly what I’ve been doing all these months at home, alone. Writing music is a solitary, sometimes lonely but lovely activity. I’ve done a lot of writing the past year and now I’m ready to take it outside.”
