Singer-songwriter Anna Wiebe hails from Guelph, Ontario and writes thoughtful, delicate songs. On Wieve’s second full-length album, ‘All I Do Is Move’, she expands her intimate folk with textured arrangements and expressive vocal turns.
‘All I Do Is Move’ focuses on cycles, and the mental growth and movement that comes with life’s lessons. Each song represents the multi-faceted nature of the project. There are lush atmospherics behind one door, more grandiose accompaniment behind another, but each song is grounded by Wiebe’s captivating and heartbreaking voice. Each phrase packs a wallop of emotion, but don’t just catalogue her as a “sad singer-songwriter” as there are multitudes of depth behind the melancholy.
‘All I Do Is Move’ is out now.
