Proving that you can live in two worlds is nothing new for Jason Haberman as he has made his career playing with over a dozen industry artists and Juno award winners. He also creates fuzzy solo music with electronic flourishes under the moniker Yaehsun.
His new single “Waterbaby” is a soulful, rhythmic take on indie-pop featuring hazy vocals from Jose Contreras. The song twists and turns in that ephemeral gaze, drifting along until it slowly becomes lodged in your skull. Elements chill out hip-hop and classic indie rock sit side by side, grooving out of the night sky into the bleary-eyed morning sun.
A fantastic introduction to this new act.
