Inspired by heart-worn country, northern soul, urban blues, and rock’n’roll, Toronto-based songwriter Nelson Sobral delivers a spirituous temper and passion along the highways of the world. His magical voice and guitar playing channels his array of influences into one transformative and cathartic late-night vision.
Soulful new single, “In The Middle Of The Night,” hits the sweet spot between classic soul and country music. Inspired by the early days of dating his now-wife, when everything feels brand new and like you’re the only two people that exist, Sobral’s verses sound like something you would hear walking into some honky tonk bar on a Saturday night.
