Interview: Alberta Pop Artist Eric Reinhart Channels Electric Momentum on Energetic Anthem “Chances”

Emerging pop artist Eric Reinhart drops “Chances,” an electric and energetic new single that captures the feeling of standing at the edge of possibility and choosing to leap. Rooted in gratitude and forward momentum, the track reflects on the improbability of simply being here, alive, creating, moving, and refusing to waste that opportunity.

“I started thinking about the chances of me being here, doing what I’m doing, being alive in this exact moment, and it honestly made me feel really grateful,” Reinhart shares. “I caught myself thinking, ‘what are the chances?’ That question stuck with me. The song came from that place of awe, realizing how unlikely and special this moment is, and not wanting to waste it.”

More than a song about dreaming, “Chances” lives in the decision to act. “One thing that makes this song unique is that it’s not just about dreaming, it’s about doing,” Reinhart explains. “It talks about stepping out, letting go of anxiety, and trying new things. I really believe that’s how you figure out who you are; by moving, by taking risks, by saying yes even when you’re unsure. The song captures that turning point.”

The origin of “Chances” was equally spontaneous. Reinhart recorded the original voice memo at 1AM at his producer’s house. The following morning, his producer played him a beat. “The first time I heard it, I just started freestyling,” he says. Those off-the-cuff verses became the chorus, and ultimately defined the direction and energy of the entire song.

“This song makes me feel excited and energized,” Reinhart says. “It’s the kind of track that gets me hyped up and ready to move, ready to do something bold. When I listen to it or perform it, it feels like ignition.”

With sleek pop production and a message rooted in courage and gratitude, “Chances” marks another step forward for an artist committed to motion over hesitation and momentum over fear.

What did you enjoy most about the creation of this new release?
Honestly, the whole thing happened so fast — and that’s what made it so exciting. My producer laid down the beat, and right on the first listen, first pass, I just freestyled over it. What came out is basically the chorus you hear now. From there, the rest of the song just wrote itself. It was one of those “what are the chances” moments that reminds you why you make music in the first place.

Share a nugget of advice that has resonated with you most over the years.
The people you surround yourself with determine who you become. That one has stuck with me for a long time. I’ve always been intentional about the company I keep, and I’m genuinely blessed to have a team that isn’t just great at what they do — they’re great people. We actually care about each other. That makes all the difference.

Who would be your dream artist or band to co-headline a tour with?
Okay, this might sound random, but — Forrest Frank, Morgan Wallen, and Ella Langley. That’s the dream lineup right there. Forrest for the energy and heart he brings, Morgan for the sheer scale, and Ella because she’s just doing something really special right now. That would be an incredible tour.

What sets your music apart from others in your genre?
A lot of my music is built around one core idea: inspiring people to take action and move forward. I’m genuinely a pretty happy person, and I think that comes through — especially live. When you come to one of my shows, it’s a high-energy, feel-good experience. Positive, uplifting, and real. I want people leaving a show feeling like they can go do something with their life. That’s what it’s all about for me.

Tell us what your favourite song is at the moment and why.
Right now it’s “Loving Life Again” by Ella Langley. It just hits exactly where I’m at. It’s positive, it’s upbeat, it’s joyful — and honestly, that’s just my life right now. I’m grateful, I’m thriving, and that song feels like a soundtrack to exactly that. Ella’s got something really powerful going on.
