Broward County’s music scene continues to make its mark on the global stage, and one of its standout talents is artist, songwriter, and producer BEZI. The multi-faceted creative recently celebrated a major career milestone by contributing to Drake’s highly anticipated album “ICEMAN”, specifically on the standout track “Ran To Atlanta” featuring Drake, Future, and Molly Santana. The record has quickly become one of the album’s biggest successes, further solidifying BEZI’s reputation as one of South Florida’s most promising songwriting and production talents.
BEZI’s involvement with the “ICEMAN” project stems from years of dedication and collaboration at the highest level. “I have been working on music for Drake for over five years now,” BEZI explains. “It really turned up when we landed ‘SOD,’ which never officially dropped on streaming platforms because the sample never got cleared. He did release it on his 100GBs website though.” Over the past two years, BEZI worked closely alongside his brother, BEAM, helping shape the creative direction behind “ICEMAN”. “We made thousands of records for ICEMAN, and it looks like ‘Ran To Atlanta’ being the number two record in the world just stuck the best,” he says.
As someone who has experienced both the highs and lows of the music industry, BEZI is passionate about encouraging the next generation of songwriters and producers. His advice is simple but powerful: “Never give up and stay consistent. Once you stop, it all stops. I too felt like giving up. I too would doubt and question if I’m doing the right thing. But then when wins like this happen, it makes it all worth it. Never stop.” His journey serves as a testament to the value of perseverance, proving that years of hard work can eventually lead to opportunities on some of the world’s biggest stages.
With a growing list of accomplishments under his belt, BEZI has no plans of slowing down. When asked if he sees himself contributing to more major artist projects in the future, his answer is immediate. “Of course. I am currently and have been for some time working with the biggest artists in the world. It’s a blessing. I will never stop providing amazing records for big artists. That is a mission I will do till I’m six feet deep and even after. It’s in my will to have the records I have created still be pitched and placed even after I am gone. Legacy.” For BEZI, success is about more than placements and accolades, it’s about building a body of work that will continue to impact music for generations to come.
