Raised on the timeless sounds of Tammy Wynette and Dolly Parton, Goldie Boutilier discovered her passion for music at an early age, giving her first performance at just five years old with her family’s junkyard serving as an unlikely rehearsal space. By 21, she had signed her first major record deal with Interscope Records, but a journey marked by shifting labels and changing identities ultimately led her back to her hometown in Nova Scotia.
Reconnecting with her roots, Goldie reinvented herself as an alt-country artist, drawing inspiration from the rich traditions of 1950s and 1960s Americana. Armed with little more than her name and deeply personal storytelling, she built an impressive independent career, amassing more than 11 million streams across digital platforms in just two years.
Her latest chapter has attracted acclaim from influential voices including Zane Lowe and Elton John, setting the stage for her forthcoming EP, The Actress. Written during a period of profound self-discovery, the project reflects themes of authenticity, vulnerability, healing, and reclaiming her voice.
