Acclaimed musician Jonas Bjerre teams up with Yeohee Kim for “Hike To The Sun,” a captivating new single featured in the soundtrack of the indie film Hana Korea. While the track isn’t fully released it does offer a stirring preview of the film’s emotionally resonant musical landscape, blending cinematic atmosphere with heartfelt artistry.
Inspired by true events, Hana Korea centers on Hyesun, a young North Korean defector embarking on a new life in the fast-moving, ultra-modern landscape of South Korea. As she navigates the challenges of adapting to an unfamiliar world, Hyesun grapples with the emotional weight of her past while striving to find belonging in a society defined by relentless ambition, fierce competition, and overwhelming expectations.
Expertly mastered by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios, “Hike To The Sun” offers a beautiful ending as the theme for Hana Korea, while giving a glimpse into Jonas Bjerre’s creative journey.
