AIKO TOMI is a crafty, hyper-energetic alt-pop artist based in Toronto who started writing songs at the age of nine. Fast forward many years of musical exploration, including a degree in composition, her hybrid Japanese-Chinese-Canadian identity is immediately evident in her music and visual style.
AIKO’s latest single, “Can’t Touch Me,” is about being in the space where inspiration overtakes self-doubt and fear. Written to capture the feeling of being in the zone, it’s a reminder that we can always reclaim that conviction.
