Thunder Bae is making a striking impression with her debut album A WOMAN, released through Cleopatra Records. Leading the project is the powerful single “Mercybeggingboys,” a deeply personal anthem about reclaiming self worth and breaking free from the need to seek love, understanding, or acceptance from the wrong people. Centered on emotional rebirth, the song celebrates stepping back into your own power with confidence and clarity. The accompanying music video, filmed in Malibu, California during 2026, visually reflects that transformation through themes of emotional cleansing, healing, and leaving behind the pain of the past. Written and coproduced by Thunder Bae, born Natalie Isabel Knopps, alongside longtime collaborator Etienne Baret, A WOMAN is a fourteen track collection that explores the emotional realities of modern womanhood. Mixed by Maxxit, the album moves effortlessly between intimate piano ballads, gothic art pop, cinematic production, and dark electronic soundscapes. Throughout the record, Thunder Bae examines love, sexuality, ambition, heartbreak, shame, and the journey toward becoming comfortable in your own skin. Rather than presenting femininity as flawless, the album embraces its complexities and finds strength through honesty, vulnerability, and personal freedom.
Standout songs such as “Oh My Sword” showcase theatrical grandeur, while “Godswork” delivers sharp commentary on power, performance, and autonomy through bold trap pop production. “Gay Alice In Wonderland” transforms familiar fairy tale imagery into a surreal reflection on queer identity, longing, escape, and transformation. Thunder Bae explains her artistic philosophy by saying, “I don’t think in genres. I don’t think anyone really does. When we feel something, it moves us, either inside or physically.” That perspective defines A WOMAN, allowing each song to exist without creative boundaries while blending influences that may remind listeners of Kate Bush, The Weeknd, and Cocteau Twins, all while maintaining a sound that is uniquely her own.
Building on the momentum of A WOMAN, Thunder Bae is preparing an exciting lineup of upcoming projects, including a planned United States tour with Cleopatra Records, new music videos for “Gay Alice In Wonderland” and “7 Figures,” additional performances across Germany, and the release of the upcoming singles “Goodnight” and “7 Figures.” She has also recently become the lead vocalist for the legendary electronic group Propaganda, expanding her international audience through collaborative releases featuring artists including Moby, Rhys Fulber of Delerium, and Jimi Tenor. Following memorable performances at iconic Los Angeles venues such as The Viper Room and Bar Sinister, Thunder Bae continues to establish herself as one of Europe’s most compelling new voices in alternative pop.
