Stepping into the spotlight on his own, Baby Boy of AG Club makes an impressive solo debut with “St. Charles,” it is out now via Epic Records. The fresh new single is a heartfelt track that captures the warmth, nostalgia, and emotional complexity of growing up. Blending introspective storytelling with a luminous sound, the song serves as a moving tribute to the experiences and memories that shape one’s journey into adulthood.
“St. Charles” thrives on the intimate spirit of a bedroom-studio collaboration. At the center is Baby Boy, leading an eclectic lineup of musicians and collaborators, including featured vocalists RITTYBO and Mikey Mu. Beyond lending his vocals, Mikey Mu co-produces the track with jerod and showcases his versatility by playing multiple instruments, while fellow AG Club member Saint Patrick adds rich keyboard textures to round out the song’s dynamic sonic landscape.
Baby Boy shared a note to accompany “ST CHARLES”:
“Too often, I feel like I’m running a marathon with no real end goal in sight. Like I’m trying to build a life for myself with tools that were made for a different purpose. I’m constantly reminded that life is hard. Life is suffering. We all go through growing pains, but the world won’t stop spinning for you. In spite of that, do everything you want to do. Do it all. Despite the doubts. Despite what others say. The people you love. The people you hate. It doesn’t matter. If whatever you’re doing or making is good enough for you, it’ll be good enough for the world.
“Keep running.”
