Global rap superstar Lil Baby and his community-focused nonprofit, The Jones Project, welcomed thousands of families over the weekend for the sixth annual Back to School Fest in Atlanta’s historic West End. Held at West End Production Park, the event provided 4,000 students with the essentials needed to start the new school year, including free school supplies, uniforms, clothing, haircuts, meals, gift cards, giveaways, and family-friendly entertainment.
The community celebration also drew several prominent Atlanta leaders, including Commissioner Khadijah Abdur-Rahman, City Council representative Michael Bond, and Judge Penny Brown Reynolds. The annual initiative was supported by a diverse group of partners, including The Athlete’s Foot, Dr. Bombay, Dude Wipes, Fanatics, It’s Bigger Than Us, J. Mcallister Events, NextEra Energy, The Period Abundance Foundation, West End Production, Wet Ones, and others.
Giving back has become a defining part of Lil Baby’s legacy beyond music. The Atlanta native has consistently invested in initiatives that uplift underserved communities, particularly in his hometown. In 2020, he donated proceeds from his socially conscious Top 5 hit, “The Bigger Picture,” to charitable organizations, and his philanthropic efforts have continued to expand. Following his annual holiday toy giveaway last December, the Grammy Award winner returned this spring with the Mrs. Trendsetter Mother’s Day Flowers Pop-Up, where children created custom bouquets and handwritten cards to honor the mothers and caregivers in their lives.
The community celebration capped off a standout month for Lil Baby, who continues to dominate both the charts and social media. His latest single, “Dead Fresh,” debuted as the No. 1 song on Apple Music for the week and remains the platform’s top-performing hip-hop track.
The Pharrell Williams-produced record has also become a viral sensation on TikTok, climbing to No. 11 on the platform’s Top 50 chart while generating more than 400 million views across over 130,000 user-created videos. On Shazam, the song currently holds the No. 1 spot on the U.S. Viral Chart and ranks No. 3 on the U.S. Top 200.
Originally unveiled during the Louis Vuitton Spring-Summer 2027 Men’s Show, “Dead Fresh” further showcased Lil Baby’s growing influence at the intersection of music and fashion. The accompanying music video has already surpassed 2 million views, earning the No. 1 spot on YouTube’s Trending Videos chart and reinforcing the rapper’s momentum across multiple platforms.
