Philly’s 2Rare is bringing the heat, and this time he’s got R&B royalty riding shotgun. The platinum-certified rapper officially unleashes “BUSSDOWN (1 THING)”, a slick new collaboration with two-time GRAMMY®-nominated R&B powerhouse Amerie.
After catching serious traction across social media, the track has officially graduated from viral moment to full-blown release. “BUSSDOWN (1 THING)” is now available across all streaming platforms, giving fans the chance to tap into the chemistry between 2Rare’s signature Philly flavor and Amerie’s undeniable R&B presence.
It’s really a full circle moment. “1 Thing” came out when I was five years old, and I grew up hearing Amerie through my mom,” 2Rare says of his landmark collaboration. “Now she’s putting new vocals on my version of the record. She keeps thanking me for bringing new life to it, but I’m the one thanking her for giving me that blessing. It feels like two generations meeting at the perfect time.”
The duo has most definitely brought the record to life with the accompanying music video. With 2Rare continuing to carve out his lane and Amerie stepping back into the spotlight, “BUSSDOWN (1 THING)” feels like a collision of eras—and the timing couldn’t be better.
The buzz is already loud. Now press play and see what 2Rare and Amerie cooked up.
