The Jungle Giants Brought Dance Party Vibes to the Troubadour

Brendon Goldwasser

We recently got the opportunity to see Australian four-piece The Jungle Giants perform at the iconic Troubadour in Los Angeles this week and wow did they bring the energy! If you’re unfamiliar, The Jungle Giants are vocalist/guitarist Hales, lead guitarist Cesira Aitken, bassist Andrew Dooris and drummer Keelan Bijker. Together they have released three LPs, Learn to Exist (2013), Speakerzoid (2015) and Quiet Ferocity (2017), the latter of which produced the ARIA-certified Platinum single “Feel The Way I Do,” as well as three ARIA-certified Gold singles: “Used To Be In Love,” “Bad Dream” and “On Your Way Down.”

The show was a blast. They are not only talented musicians, but they really have the ability to get the crowd involved and get people moving on the dance floor. They played a mix of solid songs from their previous albums and then also made sure to play their newer, upbeat tracks “Heavy Hearted” (video above) and “Sending Me Ur Loving” (listen below). They really brought the energy and had people dancing up a storm and you can tell they’re probably getting better and better after playing these shows. Check out some of our shots from inside the Troubadour and be sure to follow the group, as I’m sure they’ll be putting out another new tasty jam soon!
