Albuquerque Quartet Prism B!tch Talk Single, Quarantine

New Mexico natives Prism B!tch have returned with a rough and rowdy new single and video, ‘One Shot’. This is the first single off their 3rd studio project and debut full-length album, Perla, which comes out on March 5th, and is bringing more of the driving alternative sound that their fans love.  They sat down with Jessey last week to talk all about their new music and how they’ve been able to keep producing during the pandemic.

Lauren Poole and Chris Walsh were the first members to meet as members of a theatre company before adding Lilah Rose and Teresa Cruces to the roster, releasing their debut EP The Getaway in 2017.

“When Lauren asked me to be a part of this performance art project, we wanted to make sure the songs were really good,” explains Walsh. “This led to the creation of our band more so than a theatre project.”

Now the Albuquerque-based group is preparing to release their 3rd studio project, Perla, and the first single is bringing more of the driving alternative sound that their fans love.

“‘One Shot is about pushing through a hardship and giving it your all,” says Rose. “I remember when Lilah [Rose] sent us the demo, it reminded me of moments of clarity when something doesn’t have power over you anymore and you’re suddenly brave,” Poole adds.
