Ampled, a New Musician-Owned Cooperative Platform, Announce Membership Drive

Brendon Goldwasser

We’ve always loved supporting musicians and artists at all stages of their career and from all over the globe, which is why we were extremely excited to discover this new platform called Ampled. If you haven’t heard of them, please take a minute to read up on how they do things. We believe strongly in their mission and we’re here to help shine a spotlight on all of the artists and musicians on the platform.

Ampled is a web platform that allows music artists to be supported by their community with direct, recurring payments. Structured as a co-op, Ampled is 100% owned by its artists, workers, and community (not VC investors) with the ultimate goal of creating a permanent vehicle for artist prosperity—not an acquisition or exit. As an organization, Ampled has positioned itself in stark contrast to Silicon Valley ethos through a commitment to radical transparency, democratic governance, and broad-based user ownership.

To put it simply – they help artists gain sustainable and predictable income in today’s streaming economy, providing ownership of a platform they rely on. There’s only one week left of their Community Membership Drive! Join anytime between now and June 15th for limited edition perks. Community members play a critical role in the Ampled ecosystem. Similar to the way an artist can be supported, Ampled (the platform & organization) can be supported with a monthly pledge through their community page. Follow their profile on Spotify here and check out their playlists below!
