Things are becoming supernatural! REVENGE WIFE, the solo project of HOLYCHILD frontwoman Liz Nistico, is stepping into a new era with the announcement of her debut album, Alien Witch!
Liz’s new LP will be released September 30th and unfolds across 12 tracks, with each song embodying one of the zodiac’s 12 signs. Written entirely by Liz Nistico, the album turns astrology into a framework for exploring the contradictions of modern life—moving between escapism and emotional honesty, while confronting relationships, identity, and the increasingly blurred line between humanity and technology. The result is a deeply personal record that embraces vulnerability without sanding down its rough edges.
For Nistico, Alien Witch signals a distinct evolution in her creative process. She produced the entire album herself, with the exception of one track, shaping a sound that pulls from the eccentric pop instincts of The Cardigans and the experimental energy of The Voidz. Playful instrumentation, and unpredictable arrangements keep the record in constant motion, giving it an intentionally unconventional character that resists being boxed into a single genre.
The album’s final track pushes that experimentation even further, unfolding as an 11-minute science-fiction short story that ultimately circles back to the project’s central idea: it’s not our fault.
For now, Nistico is opening the door to Alien Witch with “What If It Is Me?!”, the album’s lead single and accompanying official video. Representing Leo in the record’s zodiac-inspired structure, the song dates back to the isolation of COVID-19 lockdown—a snapshot of an earlier moment that now finds new meaning within Nistico’s evolving musical world, check it out below!
