DJ Mustard is probably one of the hottest and most emulated Westcoast producers in the game right now. I first heard his beats on an earlier YG Mixtape (Just Re’d Up) and knew this dude was destined to dominate and churn out much acclaimed slappers.
Honestly, this dude has been one of my favorite producers for a while now and I’ve been waiting for this mixtape for a while. Features include YG, Ty$, Dom Kennedy, E40, and Clyde Carson to name a few. This dude is so popular that if you browse Soundcloud, you’ll noticed tons of tracks with tags and disclaimers that read “DJ Mustard type beat.”
This is one of those producers that changed the sound of contemporary hip hop, on par with IAMSU’s HBK gang. Don’t take my word for it, the dude has legendary producers like Timbo, Lil Jon and DJ Drama cosigning for him on a couple tracks. Grow your hair out and let them locks fly around to this one.
