Brooklyn indie-folk rock band Hayride Casualties is set to release their debut album Fossil Fuel Kid on June 9th. The band is defined and driven by the political and ecological crises of our age. We are excited to premiere “Coal Fired Train” exclusively today. The song is contemplative, compelling, and draws you into it’s progressive build.
I think for anyone paying attention to what’s happening in the world right now, it’s hard not feel hopeless, and it’s this constant battle to stay optimistic. Coal Fired Train explores those moments of burnout when you give in and just let the darkness completely overtake you. Hopefully those moments are temporary, but it’s good to know you’re not the only one feeling that way. – Daniel DeWald
