PREMIERE: ‘Born For This’ By Burga

From the sunshine state of Florida, Burga has brought us the latest of his upcoming Deluxe Edition of Permanent Scars, coming out tomorrow, with ‘Born For This’. ‘Born For This’ is a track that is Burga reflecting on his past for the inspiration, “I was just reflecting on where I came from since my hustling days, its been rapping for awhile now though.  come from nothing feel me so, I got to it and powered up. I know its a lot of folk out there that came up like me so I had to do something for the streets give them something to vibe to. I’m hustler I know the streets gone tune into this one, anybody getting to the money gone love this… In the streets you gotta the the good with the bad but…  Like I say “blow bag in sacks boost my confidence.”

Listening to the track, the beat is catchy, his lyrics are story telling, and the two seem to be the perfect match for each other. As you jam out, you get a sense of the hardships that came through Burga, and know that he came ready, “Born For This” sounds better. Burga takes us for a ride with his own story, and makes you want more!

Growing up in Florida, the streets aren’t all sunshine and palm trees, yet Burga and his family made it work. As the second eldest of five children, Burga’s older brother K. Low introduced him to hip-hop. He started listening to greats like Tupac, the Notorious B.I.G., and even Lil Wayne and Jeezy before his reached his teenage years, setting the stage for what was to come in his own rap career. Burga had the hustle in him early, when he found himself in the streets helping to hold his family down at a young age after his parents landed in some tough times. Once he realized the streets weren’t designed for the long game, he still desired the lifestyle it brought him and started taking a rap career more seriously. Burga cut through the mixtape circuit, dropping a handful of projects and slowly building a buzz. He began opening for major acts like Rick Ross, T.I., Plies, Lil Wayne, and Jeezy making his dreams come true along the way.  In 2018 Burga released Keep That Same Energy, and the project was a game changer, as Burga was slowly breaking out of the Florida coast and grabbing the attention from the rest of the country. He spent all of 2019 in the studio recording new music daily. By 2020, just as the pandemic started, he released Permanent Scars, a work that showed even greater promise than ever before, with collaborations including one with the legendary Boosie Badazz. The pandemic thwarted all plans to tour, though it forced Burga to “be creative,” as he puts it. At the close of the year, “Brand New Drip” arrived with MoneyBagg Yo, crystallizing Burga’s fate as he approaches rap stardom.
