Colorado Fresh New Music INTERVIEWS main slider

INTERVIEW: I.O. Underground

We were lucky enough to have a conversation with the lead singer of I.O. Underground, Grayson, to talk with him about the latest EP called The Underside. The full band consists of a trio: Casey, Beau, and Grayson. The three have released The Underside, with no intention of stopping. Grayson hints at the band working already on another EP, on top of the previous EP, The Wonderside, to add with the latest.

“We are beyond excited to bring new music into the world, and cannot wait to hear what our family, fans, and friends think of The Underside. Run it through your ears and tell us how we did!,” shares i.O. Underground. “We’re excited to perform these new songs at our EP release show tonight and upcoming shows. A heartfelt Thank You to everyone who has supported our process and music. We are truly grateful to everyone who has been involved in the release of this EP.” -I.O. Underground on the EP

The musicians also possess the pedigree to do so at the highest level. Beau has logged miles with the likes of Jeff Brinkman, Lee Nestor, and Ash Ganley, while Casey’s musical history spans Whitsend, Junk in the Trunk, Them vs. Them, and Seismal. Grayson went through major label trials and tribulations in New York City only to eventually settle in Boulder, CO. He met Casey on Craigslist before adding Beau to the fold and introducing i.O. Underground with The Wonderside EP in 2020. Nodding to influences as diverse as Coldplay, Muse, and The Beatles, they cooked up music in Grayson’s basement.
