“I am not a producer, I am a songwriter… If I express my feelings, then they relate”
These are the words of actress and songwriter Tiya (tie-ya). As she talks with GroundSounds about her life as an artist, new projects that she has in store, and her journey through the music industry.
Ever since she can remember, Tiya has always had a love for theater and music. Learning from her parents who are theater professionals, she was able to land an assistent gig at 15 years old for a David Foster musical in Los Angeles, California. After getting an opportunity sing infront of Foster, he encouraged her to keep singing and the rest is history. Tiya contiues to write music that will not only impacted her community, but impact the world.
