From London, England Jupiter Grey has brought us ‘From 80’s With Love,’ following the impressive release of ‘Is It Ever The Same,’ which was a Fresh Feature with Groundsounds.
‘From 80s With Love’ is a slow starting beat that drops quickly into Jupiter Grey’s voice. Gives you all the vibes of an 80s love track. The track is the fourth single to be taken from Jupiter’s upcoming debut album, FIRES ON THE MOON, which is due for release 19th November.
Speaking more on the new release, Jupiter says, “I was in the studio with my producer VagueEightySix, and he played me the production. I was in a weird mood that day, so the production lifted my spirits but the words that I started writing weren’t so positive. The song is about being in a relationship and realising that you’re missing the most important thing that’s needed, which is love. The lyrics are a conversation I had with myself about never really feeling good enough and loved.”
Jupiter Grey is an emerging London-based singer whose journey in music began at the age of five while singing in church. Pursuing music in his adulthood, he has since developed his own individual style, having been inspired by synthesisers, futuristic ambient sounds of the 80s and the modern, raw edge of 90s hip-hop. Blending these sounds with soul, indie rock and pop, he has impressively carved out a unique experimental R&B sound. His mission? To bring this sound to the mainstream and introduce a new audience to the development of R&B. Also inspired by high fashion and Japanese anime, Jupiter intends to show the world who he is through these two cultural elements and illustrate how they inspire his image, brand identity and lyrical content.
