Holander is a Los Angeles born and raised electro-pop artist who has been turning heads with her first three singles. Today we’re pumped to share her new video for “Something Real.” Complete with shiny synths, a dancey hook, and Holander’s delicate vocals, “Something Real” is a millennial call to deal with the void we’re all longing to fill. Taking on a party girl persona, she sees the numbness around her and tries to make sense of why people look for comfort in the synthetic feelings from drugs. The video will make you think, make you dance, and probably make you want to let loose a bit too.

In her own words:

“Director Derek Tonks and I tried to make the video an extension of the song, while adding a twist. The idea was, if I’m trying so hard to feel something, what if, in the video, I’m a robot? I think that really amplifies the numbness I was trying to convey in the song, and made the desperation of trying to feel something even more extreme.”
