Brooklyn band The Values mix pop, indie, and dance music to create unique, soulful soundscapes. Mason Taub’s powerful vocals speak to deeply personal experiences, layered over Evan Zwisler’s dreamy and distorted guitar licks, lush synths, and 80s inspired beats to give their audiences a moment of catharsis while keeping them dancing. Speaking of dancing, today we’re thrilled to premiere their cover of Bruce Springsteen’s “Dancing In The Dark.” We LOVE this rendition. Rather than simply imitating the original, the duo pays homage to the boss by reimagining the track in their unique sonic world. Turn this one up loud and enjoy!

On the song:

“Springsteen played an important role in both of our developments as young musicians. We wanted to pay homage to him, but also emphasize the feelings of frustration, of being lost, of seeking a purpose or anything at all to break the monotony of just trying to make it through the day in this great and troubled country.”
