NJ’s Levy & The Oaks are a band to watch. Elevating their musical narrative with vocal harmony, memorable hooks, and precision songwriting, LATO’s new “Sound of the City”  EP takes audiences on a thoughtful coming to age journey through modern (and sometimes, not so modern) social commentary. They’ve established themselves as chameleons of the Asbury music scene, fitting in with a variety of acts and genres, able to adapt to their surroundings and deliver top-tier memorable performances regardless of bill. Today we’re thrilled to premiere their new lyric video for “Happiness Is Easy” – streaming below! The track features a compelling hook and vivid lyrics that’ll make you stop, turn up the volume, and hang on every word. This one is going to be in HEAVY rotation.

Levy Okun on the song:

“It was written shortly after the last presidential election. Everyone I came into contact with had this dreary look on their face. As if something terriable had happened. It’s a survivor’s anthem to me. How it never helps when someone tells you, ” You’ll be fine. You gotta get over it eventually.” It doesn’t work that way. “Happiness is easy” is a sarcastic line at the beginning of the song. Yet, by the end it is a hopeful slogan to help ease a burden that might never go away.”

“Happiness Is Easy” is the survivor’s anthem. It’s our hopeful slogan to help ease your burdens (whatever your burdens may be).
