Austin’s Cowboy Diplomacy is set to return with their first single since 2017 as they gear up to release their debut album later this year. Their raw yet classic sound has quickly established the band as one-to-watch. Accolades include being selected as one of Black Fret’s 2017 nominees, Voted “Best Band of Austin” 2017 in Austin Monthly, voted runner-up “Best New Band” in the 2016 Austin Chronicle poll.

We are thrilled to be able to re-introduce the band with their rollicking new single “The Get Down” today on GroundSounds! Quite simply, this is one big, bad, gritty rock anthem. This is exactly the type of song you hear and say “DAMN I want to watch them play this live.” Turn it up loud and enjoy!

On the song:

“I’ve realized as I’ve gotten older that ‘the get down’ can have a different meaning. It can mean having self-control and self-discipline. Learning from others. Taking care of your responsibilities. Being healthy. Taking care of your body. Keeping your mind strong and filling it with knowledge. Getting better at your craft. Doing whatever it is you have to do to become great. Being kind and respectful to everyone. Loving everyone.”
