Cowboy Diplomacy deliver unrestrained, invigorating southern rock and blues out of Austin, TX that captivate audiences with their unconventional style and raw lyrics. Frontman Ian Cochran’s singular growl-like vocals draw listeners in, while the band’s energy and music keeps them hooked. The band draws influences from classic rock acts like AC/DC and Red Hot Chili Peppers, along with a mix of influences from some members San Diego roots, and immersion in the Austin music scene. Evident within their robust sound are traces of notable bands such as Rival Sons, Kaleo, Kings of Leon of which the band draws comparisons.

The band’s raw yet classic sound has quickly established the band as one-to-watch.  Accolades include being selected as one of Black Fret’s 2017 nominees, voted “Best Band of Austin” 2017 in Austin Monthly, and voted runner-up “Best New Band” in the 2016 Austin Chronicle poll among others.

The band is releasing their debut album Burn Down The Road tomorrow, and we are thrilled and honored to be able to premiere it in full today. The album was recorded and produced by Eric Harrison and Michael Ingber of Studio 601 in Austin, TX and mastered by Will Borza (SWMRS, Wild Child) and Howie Weinberg (Nirvana, Tom Waits, Sheryl Crow). Burn Down The Road makes you saddle up right from the beginning. Big, bold, foot stomping, in your face rock with an attitude. What they’ve created here is an album with impressive variety and plenty of Texas-sized anthems begging to be shouted along with. Get your boots ready and turn that volume up loud!

In their own words:

“Burn Down The Road” comes straight from the heart. Songs about battling inner demons, learning from mistakes, and becoming a better person. My mom is my inspiration because kindness matters. She taught me to treat people the way you want to be treated. Thats how I live my life and that’s what I strive to put out into the world.
