Boston indie-folk artist Lindsay Foote will release her latest EP, Rollercoaster, out everywhere this Friday. Recorded in Toronto before her move to Boston last year, Rollercoaster finds her exploring a hook-friendly pop sound, adding shimmering layers of electric guitar to complement her rich acoustic-folk arrangements.

Foote has made a career of crafting sincere music built around honest lyricism and vibrant arrangements steeped in folk traditions. The Massachusetts native had been writing songs long
before entrenching herself in Toronto’s diverse music scene, but it was there that she truly came into her own as an artist. During those ten formative years, she released two EPs, became a two-time finalist in the Canadian Songwriting Competition, and completed significant tours through the US and Canada.

We are thrilled to premiere the new EP in full – streaming below! The 6 tracks on Rollercoaster showcase a great mixture of breezy pop sensibility, folksy charm, and songwriting substance. This EP is pretty much guaranteed to put you in a good mood, enjoy!

In her own words:

“The songs on this EP were written throughout the past few years of my life which have been a crazy time! I’ve had some big changes in my life and I feel like so many things are still up in the air– relationships, jobs, where to live, and just how I want to live my life in general! I think a lot of people experience these feelings at some point in their life. This album is about the hope, doubt, fear, and disappointment that we experience in these times of searching, these times of figuring things out.”

Stream the EP below and be sure to connect on socials for more!
