Sometimes you have to travel the world to realize everything you’ve always wanted was closer than it seemed. This is the lesson that Matthew Fisherkeller, aka Fish, learned after 9 months cycling around the world with nothing but his guitar. During his coming of age journey Fish wrote the songs that would eventually become the music on Bad Camper’s debut album “What You Love Comes Along.”

Bad Camper’s music combines indie rock with alternative and folk influences, creating a sound uniquely their own. While Fish’s voice is reminiscent of vocalists like Brendon Urie, “What You Love Comes Along” also draws from the folk harmonies heard in the early releases from of Monsters and Men, the introspective lyrical content of The Head and the Heart, and the pop energy of Young the Giant.

Today we are excited to premiere the new live video for “Here’s The Situation” – streaming below. It’s always fun to see a band jam in their own studio, and performing the opening track provides a perfect introduction to the new album. “Here’s The Situation” sets the tone for the next 10 tracks, with its laid back vibe, memorable hook, and impressive musicianship. You’ll have this one stuck in your head all day – we’re pumped to share it!

In their own words:

“We’re stoked to be sharing our first music video with the world!! It features the first track on our upcoming album. An energetic song that Fish wrote as he was pedaling across Italy during his first 9th month musical cycling tour across North America, Europe and North Africa. After returning home we got the band together in our garage studio and this quickly became our favorite song to play together live.”
