Portland’s Malcolm Lacey, the man that is arrange, recently released his new album Their Bodies In A Fog. The album is a perfect soundtrack to relax with on a rainy night. It is toned-down, emotive, and powerful. Lacey does a great job of creating emotion and intensity without the use of loud, up-tempo music. In fact, arrange settles in on the exact opposite side of the spectrum. His smooth sonic landscapes create a beautiful atmosphere as the album winds through each emotion-filled track. The calm and slow-flowing nature of arrange’s music allows each instrument, element, and lyric to stand out and become more prominent. This “say more with less” quality makes this an album definitely worth checking out.
